Week 2
This week, in the studio, the major task s what we done is prepare the presentation for the next week.
Firstly we formalised the role of each group member, Grey is group leader, and Joey is our project manager to monitor our work load and ensure on the right track. I am the head programmer in this group. I will focus on the interface design and coding the major tasks, Joey is the program assistant to help me working on some complex part of programming. (Really thanks to Joey who will assist me to work on SQL!!!)Peter is head analyst to analysis the scop and requirement of the project.
Secondly we worked on the Grant chart and set up the time line which is the core component of our next week presentation. Our purpose is trying to finish the physical document as soon as possible therefore we can have enough time working on the program part. (This point is accepted by every group member except one person!!! very optimistic........).
I know how hard the program part is and it really need time to work on it even the login system I still no idea how that runs. Anyway I will try it ……..
We will go through the case and analysis the scope and requirement of the organisation during the weekend!! Hopeful we can finalise the presentation note on next Monday.

Week1
Firstly i want to say "happy birthday!!!" to Joey
that day is also the studio begining . In the studio, the studio acdamic Sue introduced the brief structure of subject 2502 and focused on the customer relationship management (CRM). We got briefly understanding of CRM and analysis the limitation.
Basically this unit structure is similar as last semester; we will continue develop the project management skill. The skills I have already improved from last semester are:
Communication skill
I learnt how to communicate with other group members, how to swap opinions, and how to solve conflict during the team work
Writing skill
I learnt how to write formal document such as User Manual, Functional specification, each type of document has its uniquely layout and structure.
Programming skill
Generally I learnt how to use object orient language such as VB.Net to develop application program focus on the Form application.
From previous semester study I fund I still have some weakness need to improve such as how to use diagram assist me to understand the requirement of client and how the system work by using E-r diagram . Use case diagram. I also need to continue develop the presentation skill, for example: how to catch people’s attention and how to write presentation notes.
This semester the case study is still using the interview format, that require us have good listening skill, involve how to take notes and analysis which is core process of the organization, what’s the requirement etc. that is very important for the third year studio when face to the real client and doing interview. We have three deliverables have to produce and all the due date is set up by each team, which requires project management skill and time management skill to manage the time. There are four members in our group, Grey, Joey, Peter and I. We will break the whole work into different functions and ensure everyone understand what task have to do, and also we will also define the due date of each single task, and monitor the workload of each group member to ensure everything is one the right track to control the time of develop cycle.
In the assignment my major section is programming part, becaue i really not good at writing that kind of formal document!!! The assignment is the web form and also need to link to the database, i already known how to insert, edit and delete date from database, oh yeah!! using SQL statement, boring and stupid formula!!! I think the most challenge part for me is developing security system; I need to know how to code for the login system. I have done ims1401 web base system and ims 2906 before, that may help me to design the good system with nice GUI . The better way to do better in the programming is rereading the programming text book focus on the web form part and ensure understand everything, i am afraid i am going to spent much long time working on it.....
